  3. "Butterfly" is their most adventurous album and the closest the Hollies ever came to psychedelia. Apart from "Dear Eloise" which was released as a single in some countries it is very much an "album" - not just a collection of songs built up around 3 or 4 hit singles/5(28).
  4. This late album found the Hollies making some modest adjustments to the psychedelic era: occasionally trippy studio effects, a sitar on their most psychedelic track ("Maker"), songs that didn't always deal with boy-girl relationships. In fact, however, the group's focus remained where it usually was: modest but pleasing, similar-sounding catchy tunes with high harmonies and strumming guitars.5/

  6. "Butterfly" is often regarded the strongest album by the Hollies. Released in it was to be last to feature high-pitch vocalist Graham Nash, who left in late to join David Crosby and Steve Stills. Sadly the Hollies were never quite the same after his departure - they did record some fine album later, but some of the magic somehow had gone/5(26).

  8. Dec 27,  · Two post-Butterfly Nash tracks are on Rarities: "Relax" and "Tomorrow When it Comes." Great songs. "Wings" was recorded in January of so that may qualify as a post Butterfly number. That's still one of my top favorite Hollies songs. I'd be careful with Magic label releases.
  9. When tomorrow comes you'll be thinking of yesterday All the things you're gonna do Will be the things you've done What difference does it make to you What you were doing yesterday Today will be yesterday tomorrow when it comes In or out it's all the same When you're in you're out again Going in you must come out of place you've been in.
